Position Overview
The Express Service Technician plays a key role in our dealership’s Ford Pro Service department by performing routine maintenance services efficiently while supporting a transparent, customer-first service experience. This position is responsible for completing a factory-recommended multi-point inspection (MPI) on every vehicle, including recording a professional inspection video that is shared directly with customers to clearly explain vehicle condition and recommended services.
Key Responsibilities
Express Maintenance Services
- Perform express maintenance services such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, fluid services, and basic inspections
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership repair procedures at all times
- Accurately document all services and inspection results in the dealership management system (DMS)
Multi-Point Inspection & Video Process
- Complete a manufacturer-approved multi-point inspection on every vehicle serviced
- Record a clear, professional video inspection highlighting vehicle condition, safety concerns, and maintenance recommendations
- Communicate findings in a customer-friendly manner that builds trust and confidence in the dealership
- Ensure inspection results and videos are submitted promptly to service advisors for customer review
Team & Customer Experience
- Work closely with service advisors to ensure accurate recommendations and efficient service flow
- Maintain a professional appearance and communication style consistent with dealership brand standards
- Contribute to high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores through quality work and transparent communication
Safety, Compliance & Shop Standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Properly use dealership tools, equipment, and inspection technology
- Adhere to all dealership, OEM, safety, and environmental policies
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a acceptable driving record
- Automotive repair and maintenance experience in a professional setting
- Ability and willingness to appear on video and communicate clearly with customers
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile devices, and dealership software systems
- Willingness to complete online and in-person training to obtain Ford Certifications

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
