The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of fixed-asset accounting and debt reporting while supporting the monthly close process and overall financial operations. This role works closely with accounting and executive leadership and external partners to ensure accurate reporting, and sound capital stewardship.

<Duties>
- Fixed Asset Management
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger
- Record capital expenditures in accordance with company policy and GAAP
- Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization
- Manage asset disposals, transfers, and impairment assessments
- Debt & Financing Management
- Record and reconcile all debt transactions (principal, interest, fees)
- Maintain and update amortization schedules
- Support refinancing initiatives and new financing transactions
- Coordinate directly with lenders and financial institutions as needed
- General Accounting & Reporting
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close
- Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with financial statement preparation
- Support external audit and tax reporting processes
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls

<Qualifications>
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with fixed-asset accounting and debt tracking
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred:
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems
- Background in asset-intensive industries (real estate, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, or similar)
