Responsibilities
- Assist in interpreting construction plans and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently to perform various construction tasks
- Perform manual handling and heavy lifting of materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with safety standards
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, or other structures as needed for installation or inspection purposes
- Implement respiratory protection measures and other personal protective equipment (PPE) during work activities
- Support the installation of building components based on blueprints and technical specifications
- Load and unload materials and maintain a clean, organized job site
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project quality standards
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Must have a clean criminal background
Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately
Previous construction experience required
- Experience in one or more of the following: framing, electrical, plumbing, remodeling,
- drywall, painting, finish carpentry, or general construction
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, equipment, and machinery
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards
- Proficiency in manual handling techniques and heavy lifting safely under supervision
- Familiarity with climbing techniques for working at heights on scaffolding or ladders
- Knowledge of respiratory protection protocols and proper PPE usage
- Experience with power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, and other handheld equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings for precise execution of tasks
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Ability to safely operate common construction tools and equipment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team
- Pay rate DOE
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
