What You'll Do
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and web portal
- Qualify customer needs and convert inquiries into repair orders or service agreements
- Proactively contact existing and prospective customers regarding preventive maintenance programs and repair solutions
- Prepare service quotations and follow up on outstanding estimates
- Negotiate pricing within approved company guidelines
- Coordinate with technicians, service managers, and the parts department to ensure accurate scheduling and parts availability
- Maintain customer records and sales opportunities within the CRM
- Generate weekly sales activity reports
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell parts, upgrades, and additional services
- Support outside sales representatives with quotations, customer follow-up, and account research
- Stay current on hydraulic equipment, industry trends, and competitor offering
What We're Looking For (Required)
- Previous inside sales, customer service, service advisor, or parts counter experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to read parts breakdowns and identify correct part numbers
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong telephone and customer service skills
- Comfortable working with inventory management software and CRM systems
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with the ability to learn from mistakes and continually improve
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hydraulic equipment, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, construction equipment, or related industries
- Mechanical aptitude or technical background
- Experience preparing service estimates or repair quotations
- Familiarity with parts catalogs and inventory systems
