Dukes Helping Hands is hiring for a DSP Floater position. This position is for someone flexible, reliable, and willing to go where the need is. As a DSP Floater, you may be assigned to provide support in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties.
This position may include working in the community, in the individual’s home, or covering open shifts as needed. Some cases may require you to provide transportation using your own vehicle, so reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance are required.
Job Duties May Include:
Providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities
Assisting with community outings, appointments, errands, shopping, and daily living skills
Supporting individuals with socialization, safety skills, budgeting, hygiene, meal prep, and personal goals
Providing transportation when required
Covering shifts in different counties based on program needs
Completing daily documentation and progress notes
Following care plans, behavior plans, and agency policies
Maintaining a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
Schedule:
This is a flexible floater position. The schedule may vary based on the needs of the program and individuals served. Possible shifts include:
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Onboarding Requirements:
To complete onboarding, applicants must complete and submit all required documents and trainings, including:
Application and employment paperwork
Valid driver’s license
Current auto insurance
Background check
CARI check, if applicable
Drug screening
CPR/First Aid certification, if required
Required DDD/DSP trainings
Documentation training
Agency policy review and orientation
This position is best for someone dependable, flexible, and willing to support individuals wherever staffing support is needed.
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
