Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning
- Assist with food assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with food safety standards
- Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions accurately
- Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality meal preparation
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with strong knife skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude towards learning and growth
- Previous kitchen experience within the food industry or culinary settings preferred
