Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Rackspace, and OpenStack.
- Automate deployment processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, and PowerShell to ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Manage IT infrastructure components including virtualization technologies like VMware, Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration, and virtual Private Clouds (VPCs).
- Develop scalable microservices architectures with RESTful APIs and web services to support SaaS applications and Internet of Things (IoT) projects.
- Implement system hardening practices to ensure security compliance through identity and access management (IAM) solutions, VPNs, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
- Monitor distributed systems for performance issues using cloud-native tools; optimize scalability and availability across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with software development teams following Agile methodologies to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Requirements
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure in cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure or Rackspace.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms including VMware and OpenStack.
- Hands-on expertise with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Ruby or Node.js for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud architecture principles including IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef; knowledge of Terraform is highly desirable.
- Understanding of network security concepts including VPNs, web application firewalls (WAF), REST APIs, LDAP/Active Directory integration for IAM solutions.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Linux distributions and Windows Server environments.
- Ability to manage distributed systems at scale with a focus on system reliability, scalability, and security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications in cloud computing or DevOps are a plus.

Pay: $115,644.70 - $139,271.03 per year
