Position Responsibilities
- Transport freight safely and efficiently using company equipment
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Properly secure cargo using chains, binders, straps, tarps, and other load securement equipment
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers
- Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Complete required logs, inspections, and paperwork accurately
- Report equipment issues and perform basic preventative maintenance when appropriate
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- At least one year of commercial driving experience involving hotshot, flatbed, trailer, or similar freight
- Clean driving record
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
- Experience securing flatbed loads is preferred
- Willing to travel overnight as needed
- Must pass all required DOT drug and alcohol testing
Equipment Information
Drivers will operate a Ram 3500 dually paired with a 40-foot gooseneck flatbed trailer. Applicants should be confident towing, maneuvering, and properly securing flatbed freight.
Take-Home Equipment
Qualified drivers may take company equipment home between assignments as long as it is stored in a secure location and maintained in clean, professional condition. Drivers are expected to protect and care for company equipment while it is in their possession.
