VKA Security is a third-generation, family-owned company continuing our hard-earned growth in the security and life safety industry. We're looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Department Manager to lead and elevate one of Northeast Florida’s premier commercial fire alarm departments.
This position works closely with our leadership team to oversee operations, develop technicians, improve department performance, and ensure exceptional service for our customers. The right person will become a key member of our leadership team while helping shape the future growth of VKA Security.

Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the Fire Alarm Department.
- Develop, coach, and mentor Fire Alarm technicians.
- Oversee installations, inspections, service, and project execution.
- Complete fire alarm layouts, permitting, and plan review.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local AHJs, and company quality standards.
- Improve department profitability, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and technician development.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and executive leadership.
- Serve as the department's technical expert.
- Partner with the sales team to identify target markets, provide technical guidance during estimating, and help develop accurate, profitable proposals that position the department for long-term success.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial fire alarm experience.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and commercial fire alarm systems.
- NICET II or higher preferred.
- Experience with permitting, layouts, and project management.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Passion for building teams, developing people, and continuously improving operations.
