Infant Teacher Overview:
The Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide a safe, loving, and engaging environment where infants can grow, explore, and reach important developmental milestones. You'll build meaningful relationships with children and their families while supporting each infant's individual needs through responsive caregiving and developmentally appropriate activities. Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive care and constant supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of infants.
- Create a warm, stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and healthy development.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth.
- Follow each infant's individualized schedule for feeding, diapering, sleeping, and play.
- Maintain accurate daily records of meals, naps, diaper changes, and developmental milestones.
- Build positive, professional relationships with families by communicating daily about their child's progress and experiences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom while following all health and safety regulations.
- Support children's developmental needs through observation and collaboration with families and specialists when appropriate.
- Work as a team with fellow teachers to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Comply with all state licensing regulations, child care policies, and mandated reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants in a licensed child care center, preschool, or similar early childhood setting preferred.
- Knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA) or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred.
- Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, sit on the floor, bend, stoop, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient, and responsive care to infants.
- Must successfully pass all required state background checks and meet licensing requirements.

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
