Job Summary
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) working from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents and patients across various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. Responsibilities
- Assist residents and patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Monitor vital signs, record medical documentation accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, and report any changes in condition promptly.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I Trauma Centers to deliver patient-centered care.
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols for infectious disease care and practicing proper medical-surgical procedures.
- Assist with patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids while ensuring safety and comfort.
Requirements
- Valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in good standing.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, or outpatient clinics.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
- Prior experience with patient service tasks like catheter care, phlebotomy, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in settings like behavioral health or home & community care.
