Van Ernst Refrigeration has been serving the Rochester, NY area for nearly 40 years. We service a wide variety of systems from small self-contained units to multimillion dollar cold storage facilities. We pride ourselves on employing technicians that can handle the wide variety of HVAC and Refrigeration systems in today’s market. All our technicians are versatile in the ability to provide the upmost customer satisfaction whether it be routine preventative maintenance or large scale HVAC/R installations and repairs. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems.
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner and provide excellent customer service.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
- Properly communicate with customers and our office staff.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
Experience:
- Mechanical aptitude with the self-driven ability to apply creative thinking.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, equipment repair, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Experience working in field service is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- EPA certification 608 preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.

- Proficient with the use of a laptop computer and basic computer skills
