EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position performs professional social service work of a supervisory nature. Work supports caseworkers, foster parents, investigations, compliance, quality, and planning functions. As a County Casework Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
Supervise Caseworkers: Meet with caseworkers to review active placement cases and provide guidance, direction, and advice with case planning and need for ongoing services-
Train Foster Parents: Oversee the training and approval of new foster parents, foster home evaluations and re-evaluations, and ensure foster families meet all State/Federal requirements and regulations

Oversee Cases and Investigations: Provide case management and counseling services to children, youth, and family members; oversee and monitor investigations of suspected child abuse and neglect

Ensure Compliance: Maintain direct knowledge of laws and regulations which govern child welfare services and ensure compliance with all State/Federal regulations and Agency policies/procedure

Assure Quality: Ensure that all required documents are completed timely and that all services are being provided to clients; review and schedule all petitions for Court Reviews, have all required forms completed accurately and timely

Support Effective Planning: Maintaining reports, statistics, data, and summaries to assist with budget preparation; occasionally meet with community representatives and agencies to ensure coordinated services meet community needs

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
