We are hiring a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join a growing Licensed Behavioral Health Center in Huntington, West Virginia. This is an opportunity to be part of a mission driven team focused on addiction recovery, behavioral health, and helping people build stable, healthier lives.

Responsibilities
- Provide peer based support to individuals in recovery from substance use and mental health challenges
- Help clients build recovery goals and develop practical steps toward stability and wellness
- Support client engagement, motivation, and connection to treatment services
- Assist clients with accessing community resources, recovery supports, transportation, housing, appointments, and other basic needs
- Encourage self advocacy, personal responsibility, and recovery oriented decision making
- Work closely with therapists, case managers, medical staff, and leadership to support continuity of care
- Complete documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
- Serve as a positive role model for recovery and resilience
Qualifications
- Active Peer Recovery Support Specialist certification in West Virginia, or ability to obtain required certification
- Lived experience in recovery and ability to use that experience in a professional and appropriate way
- Knowledge of substance use recovery, community resources, and recovery support systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved populations
- Experience in behavioral health, recovery services, or human services preferred
- Must be organized, dependable, and able to complete documentation as required

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
