Job Title: Preschool Early Intervention Long Term Subsitute Itinerant Speech Language Pathologist
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the provision of special education services to eligible preschool-aged children in their least restrictive environment. This position conducts screenings and formal developmental evaluations for 3- to 5-year-old children to determine eligibility for preschool early intervention services and is responsible for the development and implementation of special education documents. The Special Education Teacher is knowledgeable of developmentally appropriate practices and effectively communicating and delivering specially designed instruction as per OCDEL service delivery model in specialized and community settings such as preschool, childcare, or home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in the identification of eligible students by completing intake assessments and required documentation, including Evaluation Report and Individualized Education Program development, to maintain compliance with state and federal child find regulations.
Maintains required paperwork within timelines including Reevaluation Report, Individualized Education Program, progress monitoring, and other supporting documentation for each student on identified caseload to ensure student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and handle multiple initiatives.
Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, and responsible.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and willingness to experiment with new technologies.
