Valor is Embrave’s Forensic Mental Health and Competency Restoration Services Program. The Valor Program is a statewide program designed for clients who need or have a history of needing forensic and competency restoration services.
VALOR - RESIDENTIAL CARE COORDINATOR
The Residential Care Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Residential Care Manager in the day-to-day operations and staffing of the facility. Provides support to Lead Direct Support Professionals, Direct Support Professionals, Direct Support Professional Transportation and Certified Nursing Assistants. Assists the manager in the implementation of effective programs and services. The Residential Care Coordinator is responsible for creating a positive, team-oriented program culture in accordance with Embrave’s Mission, Vision and Core Values. Maintains knowledge of and assures compliance with all Embrave and Valor policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the Residential Care Manager in the day-to-day operations and staffing of the facility. To include vetting vendors, fleet management, building and facility maintenance support, food and supply orders, UA supplies and testing, transportation logistics, residential outings, and security and staffing support.

Monitors staff attendance, breaks, and task assignments. Provides ongoing communication with Residential Care Manager regarding questions or concerns with staff competencies, behaviors, and/or compliance with Embrave, Valor and regulatory agency standards.
- Provides direct guidance to staff when the Residential Care Manager or other Valor Leadership is not on-site while communicating directly to Leadership as needed.

Assists in the training, maintenance of competencies and professional development of Residential Care staff.

Provides support to Residential Care staff in the completion of direct support duties and scheduling. Provides shift coverage as needed.

Provides support to Residential Care staff in the transportation of clients. Provides client transportation coverage as needed.

Assists the Residential Care Manager in the implementation of effective programs and services.

Supports oversight of the Process Improvement/Quality Improvement activities utilizing regulatory agencies benchmarking while collaborating with other departments.

Possesses knowledge of key operating systems and standard operating procedures within the facility.

Supports the Residential Care Manager the assurance of program compliance with all Embrace and Valor policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Oversees and ensures accuracy within program data, monthly reports, and documentation.

Participates in meetings as assigned (e.g., team huddles, facility meetings, etc.) to support the residential and residents.

Support staff compliance and proper documentation of QMAP medication monitoring services in eMAR system with Registered Nurse or Wellness Manager oversight.
- Ensures client and employee safety, and satisfaction, while addressing client and staff concerns and critical organizational reporting,in a timely manner.

EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or a related field required. Successful and relevant work experience combined with professional certifications and/or training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Possess a valid Driving License (Minimum of 3 years)
Current Colorado Driver’s License
No license suspension or revocations within the last 5 years
No major motor vehicle violations in the last 3 years.
Have a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
