Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, snacks, and light food items with efficiency and professionalism
- Operate POS systems such as Square to process sales accurately and handle cash transactions securely
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while providing friendly customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at the halfway house or beverage cart, including food handling and sanitation practices
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure availability of beverages, snacks, and necessary equipment throughout shifts
- Engage with guests courteously, answer questions about menu items, and promote special offers or promotions
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, retail, or hospitality environments such as cafés, quick service restaurants, or grocery stores is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing
- Ability to stand for extended periods outdoors or in indoor settings; comfortable working in various weather conditions if applicable
- Previous experience with serving beverages or working at a halfway house or similar setting is a plus
- Must be 18 years or older
