We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Funeral Director/Arranger to join our dedicated team. Your responsibilities will include coordinating funeral services, managing arrangements, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure each family’s needs are met with dignity and respect. Duties
- Collaborate closely with families to plan and organize funeral services that honor their loved ones’ wishes.
- Coordinate logistics for funeral arrangements, including transportation, venue setup, and service details.
- Provide bereavement support and compassionate guidance to grieving families throughout the entire process.
- Manage the preparation of deceased individuals, including cosmetology, sanitation, and dissection as needed, ensuring respectful handling at all times.
- Oversee heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in handling caskets, equipment, and floral arrangements safely and efficiently.
- Conduct sales activities by explaining service options and assisting families in selecting appropriate packages.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining sanitation standards across all areas of operation.
- Assist with event planning for memorial services, coordinating with vendors and staff to deliver seamless ceremonies.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in funeral directing or related customer service roles is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to handle deceased individuals respectfully and accurately.
- Strong understanding of bereavement support principles to provide empathetic guidance to grieving families.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen compassionately and convey information clearly.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and dissection when necessary.
- Experience in event planning or coordinating logistics for ceremonies or gatherings is a plus.
- Certification or training in cosmetology or dissection techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
