About the Role
Frontier Development, Inc. is a heavy civil and pipeline contractor seeking an experienced Ranch Road Foreman to lead a qualified field crew across remote job sites throughout Central and West Texas. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows the land, knows the work, and can keep a crew productive in tough conditions far from town.
If you've built roads where there aren't any, worked rock that didn't want to move, and managed people who take pride in doing it right — we want to talk.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and supervise a field crew on ranch road construction, maintenance, and improvement projects
- Direct dirt operations including cut/fill, subgrade prep, and shaping
- Oversee rock conditions — hammering, milling, and rock base placement
- Manage clearing and grubbing operations including tree removal, brush clearing, and debris disposal
- Coordinate drainage improvements — culvert installation, ditch grading, water control structures
- Maintain daily production, crew safety, and equipment accountability
- Communicate progress, needs, and issues directly to the Project Superintendent and PM
- Operate and/or direct operation of heavy equipment as needed
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years experience as a foreman or lead on ranch road or rural infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience with dirt operations, rock work, and clearing/grubbing
- Ability to read grades, manage drainage, and troubleshoot field conditions independently
- Experience working in remote, rugged terrain across Central and West Texas
- Ability to recruit, lead, and hold a crew accountable in the field
- Valid driver's license; ability to tow equipment preferred
- Willing and able to travel — extended stays away from home are expected
Preferred:
- Experience with rock milling and reclamation-style road work
- Familiarity with ranch and private landowner environments
- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety certification
