Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finishing Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on wooden furniture like dining tables, chairs, and cabinetry using HVLP spray rigs. Your expertise in handling various tools, materials, and finishing techniques will help us deliver exceptional products to our customers. Responsibilities
- Spraying oil-based primer on wood products and sanding in between coats.
- Spraying water based paint to achieve a fine finish.
- Wiping on oil-based stain and spraying lacquer as a topcoat. Sanding in between coats.
- Sanding and preparing wood products to be primed and painted or stained and lacquered.
- Cleaning out spray guns at the end of the day using the appropriate solvents.
- Document work progress accurately and communicate with team members regarding production status or issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience applying finishing techniques.
- Familiarity, and the ability to operate HVLP paint sprayers confidently.
- Experience with fine woodworking techniques is a big plus.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
