Do you love classic Ford trucks and enjoy building vehicles from the ground up? Kincer Chassis is looking for a full-time Automotive Assembly & Startup Technician to join our team working on classic Ford F-Series truck conversions and custom builds.
This is a hands-on position involving vehicle assembly, wiring, mechanical installation, final startup, troubleshooting, and preparation of completed trucks. We are looking for someone with solid automotive experience who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and enjoys solving problems.
We provide on-the-job training specific to our products and build processes in a fast-paced, climate-controlled shop environment.
Duties Include
· Assembly and installation of chassis, suspension, steering, brake, fuel, and drivetrain components
· Installation of engines, transmissions, transfer cases, and related powertrain components
· Cab and chassis wiring, including routing and connecting vehicle wiring harnesses
· Installation and connection of electrical components, sensors, switches, lighting, and accessories
· Performing initial vehicle startup and systems checks
· Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues during assembly and final startup
· Diagnosing suspension, drivetrain, electrical, and other vehicle-related problems
· Inspecting completed work for proper installation, fit, function, and overall quality
· Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
· Working collaboratively with other members of the production and engineering team
· Performing other related duties as needed
Desired Skills & Experience
· Previous automotive repair, restoration, assembly, or related mechanical experience
· Good understanding of basic automotive mechanical and electrical systems
· Experience with vehicle wiring and electrical troubleshooting is strongly preferred
· Ability to safely operate common automotive hand and power tools
· Ability to use basic diagnostic equipment such as a digital multimeter
· Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot problems logically
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
· Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship
· Self-motivated and able to work independently when needed
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform the physical tasks associated with automotive assembly
Experience with classic Ford trucks, custom vehicle builds, restorations, engine swaps is a plus, but not required.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
