Acadiana Equine Hospital is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist / Coggins Laboratory Technicianto join our team. This position plays an essential role in ensuring our clients receive exceptional service while supporting our veterinarians through efficient front office operations and accurate Coggins laboratory processing.

Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment calendar
- Check clients in and out and process payments
- Maintain accurate patient records using veterinary practice software
- Prepare, process, and submit Coggins tests while maintaining strict attention to detail
- Maintain Coggins laboratory inventory and supplies
- Scan, file, and organize medical records and laboratory documents
- Communicate professionally with clients, laboratories, and veterinary staff
- Assist with additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable learning new computer software and technology
- Veterinary, medical office, or laboratory experience is preferred but not required
- Equine knowledge is a plus but not required

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Customer service: 1 year preferred
- Reception or administrative experience: 1 year preferred
- Veterinary or medical office experience: Preferred but not required
