We're partnering with a growing organization that is investing in its data platform and looking for a Database Developer II to help modernize its database environment. This is an opportunity to work on enterprise-level SQL development, data integration, reporting, and performance optimization while collaborating with architects and cross-functional technology teams.
What You'll Do as a SQL Database Developer II
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server database solutions.
- Build and maintain ETL processes using SSIS.
- Develop reporting solutions with SSRS and Power BI.
- Tune database performance through indexing, query optimization, and best practices.
- Support cloud and hybrid database modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with application developers, business stakeholders, and data architects.
- Troubleshoot complex database and reporting issues.
- Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
- Help drive database standards, security, and technical best practices.
What We're Looking For in the SQL Database Developer II
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience.
- 4-6 years of experience with enterprise database development.
- Strong SQL Server and T-SQL development experience.
- Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud or hybrid database environments.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or C# is a plus.
- Microsoft SQL Server or Azure certifications are a bonus.
