We're seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist & Safety Lead who is passionate about supporting employees, partnering with leaders, and driving operational excellence. This role serves as a key resource for employees and management while leading critical HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and safety program administration.

What You'll Do
Human Resources Leadership
As a trusted HR partner, you will:
- Own and administer the company's weekly payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
- Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including candidate screening, interview coordination, candidate evaluation, and participation in hiring decisions
- Lead onboarding activities that create a positive, compliant, and engaging new hire experience
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Interpret and apply company policies while providing guidance and support to employees, supervisors, and managers
- Assist with employee relations investigations, documentation, and recommendations in partnership with the HR Manager.
- Serve as a primary resource for employees and leaders regarding payroll, policies, workplace concerns, and HR-related matters
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, compliance practices, and employee experience
Safety Program Administration
In partnership with Operations leadership, you will:
- Administer and monitor key components of the company's safety and compliance programs
- Coordinate safety training, certifications, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain the safety compliance calendar, ensuring timely completion of required activities
- Conduct safety documentation reviews and maintain audit-ready records
- Participate in safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Track findings, monitor corrective actions, and ensure timely follow-up
- Identify compliance risks and escalate concerns appropriately
- Analyze safety trends and recommend improvements that strengthen workplace safety and regulatory compliance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that promote a culture of safety and accountability

Qualifications
Required
- 2–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience in independently administering payroll
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance activities
- Strong understanding of employment law fundamentals and HR best practices
- Experience interpreting policies and providing guidance to employees and managers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/payroll systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality
Preferred
- Human Resources experience within a manufacturing environment
- Safety program experience is a plus but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent)

Work Environment
This position operates within an office located inside a manufacturing facility and requires regular interaction with production, warehouse, and office teams. Periodic movement throughout production and operational areas is required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
