Job Summary
Wholesome Choice Market is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman / Maintenance Technician with experience in commercial refrigeration, store repairs, and restaurant equipment maintenance. This role is critical to maintaining smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced grocery and food service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial refrigeration systems (coolers, freezers, display cases)
- Troubleshoot and repair restaurant and kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, mixers, prep equipment, etc.)
- Handle general store repairs and upkeep (plumbing, electrical, drywall, doors, fixtures, etc.)
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to avoid equipment failures
- Coordinate with outside vendors when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area
- Ensure all work complies with safety and health regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in handyman, maintenance, or facility repair role
- Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems (required)
- Experience with restaurant or food service equipment (required)
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (coolers, rooftops, etc.)
