We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to own the full accounting function at TCO Land & Regulatory — a majority woman-owned energy services company with nearly 70 years of history in Denver!
This position will lead our accounting team and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a broad spectrum of accounting functions, including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. Your expertise will drive efficient financial processes, support strategic decision-making, and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity across our organization. About the Role
This standalone Accounting Manager position manages an Accounting Assistant and oversees all day-to-day accounting, payroll, T&M billing, and process improvement for our land services and regulatory operations in oil & gas, renewables, and carbon capture.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle accounting including T&M billing, AR/AP, and monthly close
- Bi-monthly client invoicing with detailed backups via OpenInvoice
- Lease bonus & lessor payment processing + 1099 filings
- Payroll (Justworks + contractor) and project cost tracking in Totaland
- Primary administrator for QuickBooks Desktop and Totaland
- HR onboarding, bank reconciliations, and continuous process improvements
What You Bring
- 5+ years full-cycle accounting experience
- Strong project accounting & T&M billing background
- Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop (required) — advanced job costing, custom reporting, and project workflows
- Ability to run an accounting function independently with minimal support
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced energy services environment
- Oil and gas / mineral rights accounting experience is a big plus

Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
