Responsible for re-selling Individual medical plans to existing members in all of the company's states. Responsible for increasing member retention (decrease in lapse rates) by working with at-risk members.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provides detailed analysis that identifies and promotes the value of the existing plan, discuss options, provides alternative plan options when appropriate and makes recommendations.
In addition recommending and enrolling in Anthem Specialty and Supplementary products to create a holistic insurance portfolio increasing profitability and retention.
Provides customers with counseling and recommendations for plan changes.
Responsible for working with members during rate increases or any other time a member is a risk of leaving.
Works with cancellation requests to prevent member attrition.
Reduced member attrition leading to profitable member retention for Individual and Specialty Business.
Partners with the Underwriting team to provide alternate plan options to facilitate enrollment when the selected plan is not available, due to rate ups, etc.
Follows up on retention leads through outbound communications via phone or in writing.
Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS; 3-4 years of Life & Health insurance experience in sales and/or member services; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Must have a license to sell insurance in all required states.
Resident Health & Life Insurance License in their states is required.

Program Details:
- To be eligible Retains must remain active and paid current for 3 months from the date of the call (month of the call plus 2 additional months) and Cross-Sales must pay the first month’s premium. Retain/ Sales from phone start date through end of assignment are eligible. All data will be validated after the end of assignment prior to submission to your agency. Please expect a 35-business day turnaround. Payment is dependent on validated return of all IT equipment provided during the assignment (return UPS tracking numbers must be provided to your Employment Agency).

M-F 8:30am-9:00pm (All Shifts are Local Time)

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.

Pay Rate Range
15.64 - 34.76 USD hourly
