Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Greet customers warmly, providing friendly assistance and answering questions with professionalism
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness
- Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement and promote sales opportunities
- Upsell relevant products by identifying customer needs and highlighting benefits effectively
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or providing information remotely
- Support inventory management through stocking and merchandising tasks to ensure product availability
Experience
- Prior cashiering experience in a retail environment or grocery store setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math to handle transactions confidently
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
