Our state funded Great Start Readiness Preschool Program provides experiences that foster children's development cognitively, socially, physically, and emotionally. We provide an environment that is rich in developmentally appropriate, culturally diverse, child -initiated activities that are the foundation for success in kindergarten and beyond. Parental involvement is an essential component in our program, uniting the teacher, child and family.
As a Lead GSRP teacher one must have a Bachelors degree in early childhood education OR be actively working on this degree, CPR and first aid, leadership skills, management skills, and knowledge of early childhood curriculum and assessment.
Duties include,
1. Lead a teaching team to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program meeting GSRP requirements.
2. Complete child assessments and share data with families during home visits and conferences.
3. Create a safe, welcoming space that values language, culture, and individual traditions for children and family members.
4. Follow all state and agency guidelines.
5. Build strong foundations that enhance relationships with children and their families.
