Home Help Caregiver/In Home Personal Care — Multiple Positions Available
True Gentle Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable Home Help Caregivers to provide personalized care and support to individuals in their homes and community settings.
In this meaningful role, you will assist clients with daily activities while promoting their independence, safety, dignity, and comfort. This is a paid position with ongoing training opportunities for caregivers who want to make a positive difference in their community.
Available Shifts
We are hiring for multiple caregiver positions. Available schedules may include:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Overnight shifts
- Weekday and weekend assignments
- Part-time and flexible scheduling opportunities
Shift availability may vary depending on client needs and location.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide safe transfer assistance using proper techniques and equipment, including Hoyer lifts when required.
- Observe clients’ overall condition and report any health, behavioral, or safety concerns.
- Monitor vital signs when directed by the client’s care plan.
- Provide medication reminders or assistance as permitted by the care plan and applicable requirements.
- Prepare nutritious meals based on clients’ dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Provide companionship, conversation, reassurance, and emotional support.
- Assist with light housekeeping and other tasks necessary to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, observations, and important communications.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, family members, healthcare professionals, and social workers.
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community outings when assigned.
- Follow all care plans, safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and HIPAA guidelines.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in one or more of the following settings is highly desirable:
- Home healthcare
- Assisted living facilities
- Nursing homes
- Adult foster care or group homes
- Hospice or senior care
- Memory care
Experience supporting individuals with the following needs is also preferred:
- Alzheimer’s disease or dementia
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Developmental or intellectual disabilities
- Neurodevelopmental conditions
- Mobility limitations
- Complex or higher-level care needs
Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful.
- Able to follow individualized care plans and instructions.
- Comfortable documenting care activities and reporting changes in a client’s condition.
- Knowledge of client confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Able to safely lift, reposition, and transfer clients as required by the assignment.
- Comfortable using transfer equipment, including Hoyer lifts, or willing to complete training.
- CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- Reliable transportation may be required for certain assignments.
- Must be able to complete required background checks, training, and employment documentation.
