Position Summary: You will learn to prepare ingredients, cook and plate our food for our guests while adhering to all food safety and sanitary standards as outlined by the SCDA to comply with Regulation 61-25·
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Setting up and stocking the kitchen with all necessary ingredients for the shift to prepare the menu for service
· Prepare ingredients and plate menu items in accordance with established standards
· Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in by washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, and keeping the dishwashing area clean.
· Properly label, date, initial and rotate all products using safe and sanitary food handling practices.
· Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift, complete cleaning duties at end of the shift. Duties include operating dishwashing machines, hand-washing items, organizing and storing clean dishes, taking out trash, and cleaning floors.
· Use and clean all food preparation and cooking equipment according to manufacturer instruction after use
· Complete daily prep and other tasks or duties assigned by management
· Ensures all storage areas are neat and all products are stored properly
· Work closely with other team members to maintain safe working conditions in the kitchen
· Maintain neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules as defined by the employee handbook
· Assist in completing daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance duties
· Reports to work on time for all scheduled shifts and stays throughout the duration of the shift
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy, and hot environment.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
· Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and recipes precisely.
· Organization and time management skills.
· Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, continuously reach, bend, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds.
· Frequent washing of hands and glove use required
Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, cuts and burns. Follow guidelines outlined in SDS Sheets for chemical use
Background/Experience
· Entry level position, no experience required
· Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
