We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Boba Tea Maker to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, creating a lively atmosphere while preparing delicious non-alcoholic beverages, especially our signature boba teas. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure every guest has an exceptional experience from the moment they walk in. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine customer service, food and beverage preparation, and retail sales in a fast-paced, fun environment. Paid training will be provided to help you master our menu and POS systems. This is a good entry level position for anyone wanting to get their foot in the door for experience at restaurants. This position gives opportunities to move up and on to other roles if candidate is proven effective and efficient at customer service
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly with a lively attitude, making them feel at home from arrival to departure
- Seating customers in at a comfortable and relaxed pace.
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including boba teas, coffee drinks, and other specialty drinks with precision and care
- Operate POS systems for retail sales transactions, processing cash and card payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant area, including food handling and sanitation standards to ensure food safety compliance
- Manage food preparation tasks quickly and accurately, ensuring high-quality beverage presentation every time
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about ingredients or dietary needs, and provide excellent customer service
- Support team members during busy hours by managing time effectively and ensuring smooth service flow
Skills
- Experience with food service or café environments, including barista experience preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in using POS systems for sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Knowledge of non-alcoholic beverage preparation, including tea brewing, coffee making, and food handling procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Attention to cleanliness and food safety standards to maintain a hygienic environment
