Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks to enhance their experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work station
- Process sales transactions smoothly, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional items to increase sales
- Maintain knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and food offerings to provide expert recommendations and enhance guest satisfaction
- Uphold food safety standards by following sanitation protocols, proper food handling procedures, and cleanliness guidelines
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless service flow
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and transaction processing
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Previous experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants is preferred but not required
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty
