A well-established, multi-brand franchise dealership in Anchorage is conducting a confidential search for a DMV Clerk. This is a full-time, on-site role within a structured, process-oriented back-office operation at a high-volume store representing iconic American automotive brands.
This is a detail-driven administrative role that plays a direct part in protecting the dealership and ensuring every vehicle transaction is processed accurately, compliantly, and on time. No prior automotive experience is required, we'll train the right person.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process all vehicle title and registration paperwork accurately and within required timelines
- Submit and track documents with the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles and other appropriate state agencies
- Verify legal documents for completeness and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Maintain organized records of titles, MSOs, payoffs, and supporting documentation
- Work closely with Sales, F&I, and Accounting to ensure deal jackets are complete and compliant
- Identify and resolve discrepancies quickly to prevent funding delays or compliance risk
- Support internal and external audits and maintain adherence to dealership and regulatory standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- No prior automotive or DMV experience required -- we will train the right person from day one
- Previous administrative, customer service, data entry, or office support experience a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail -- accuracy in this role directly protects the dealership
- Strong organizational and time management skills -- able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Comfortable with computer systems and office software
- Clear communicator who works effectively with internal teams
- High integrity and respect for confidential information
- Reliable and self-directed -- this role requires someone who takes ownership of their work
