Ted Conner Landscaping is a premier full-service landscaping company in Pompano Beach, FL, delivering top-tier services across five specialized divisions. We’re known for our craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. To support our growth, we’re looking for a top-quality Tree Trimmer who takes pride in their work and thrives on doing things right the first time!
This “seat” in our organization has four roles:
- Project Execution: Follow job-specific specifications to complete projects safely, efficiently and on time.
- Proper Tree Care: Apply proper pruning techniques to comply with local tree trim codes and ordinances. No heading cuts, shaping or spiking palms.
- Client Satisfaction: Engage with clients to ensure job satisfaction to earn 5-Star reviews.
- Safety Compliance and Equipment Maintenance: Adhere to safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, our clients and our equipment during all phases of tree care operations.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Detail-Oriented and Safety-Obsessed
You treat every cut, climb, and setup with care - always checking gear, watching your surroundings, and following protocols without shortcuts. No cowboy behavior.

2. Pride in Craftsmanship
You don’t just want to just “get it done” – you want it done right. Proper cuts, tidy work area, trees that are safer, stronger and leaving each property cleaner than when we arrived.
“Let’s clean up those old leaves so this place is sparkling when we’re done.”
3. Team-Focused with a Great Attitude
You know this is a team sport - offering help, keeping the mood light, and communicating clearly. You make the crew better just by being around.
“Need a second set of eyes over here?” or “Let’s knock this out together.”
Candidates must:
Have “hands on” experience of proper trimming techniques (3 years).
Be able to communicate well and work with an experienced ground crew to complete jobs efficiently to meet client’s expectations.
Be detailed oriented, work safely, organized and efficiently.
Characteristics needed to succeed:
Advanced knowledge of proper rigging and proper cutting techniques.
Positive attitude and strong leadership skills and able to lead by example.
Ability to develop a team atmosphere and motivate employees.
Strong time management skills for yourself, employees and keen sense of logistics.
Resource management for profitability.
Knowledge of FL Grades and Standards and local tree trimming codes.
Duties: (to include but not limited to)
Perform quality tree care and manage ground operations safely.
Manage jobs and man hours for profitability.
Responsible for job site safety and awareness.
Manage equipment and schedule preventative maintenance with on-site mechanic.
Company information:
Compensation is based on experience, credentials and references. We are willing to pay top dollar for the right people.
Preferred but not required: Broward County Tree trimmer license, ISA Certification, CDL, bucket truck operation.
Paid hourly with overtime available. Paid weekly (direct deposit available).
Notes:
We are a drug-free company. Candidates will have to pass a drug test administered on site.
Benefits available after 90 days including health insurance (medical, dental, vision). Cell phone provided.
