Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, skilled Carpenter / Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with general carpentry, building repairs, preventive maintenance, and small renovation projects. This position is a good fit for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and can complete tasks independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry repairs, including doors, windows, trim, cabinets, shelving, flooring, walls, and framing.
- Complete routine building maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Repair drywall, patch surfaces, replace fixtures, and assist with painting or finishing work as needed.
- Install and repair hardware such as locks, hinges, handles, handrails, and other building components.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly.
- Identify maintenance issues and recommend repairs or improvements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Respond to work orders and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in carpentry, building maintenance, construction, or a related trade preferred.
- Ability to measure, cut, build, repair, and install materials accurately.
- Knowledge of basic building repairs, maintenance practices, and jobsite safety.
- Ability to read basic instructions, sketches, or plans.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to lift materials, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and work indoors or outdoors as needed.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
