Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Group Fitness Instructors provide members of the Belmont community with group fitness instruction and wellness education services
Duties Include:

Safely and effectively conduct group fitness classes for the Belmont community using proper form, cueing techniques, and appropriate regressions and progressions

Maintain and manage records regarding class registration and attendance

Facilitate wellness education programming for members of the Belmont community

Develop and maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere for class participants

Attend Reunions, CEUs, trainings and developmental programs

Other duties as assigned

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move loads of 20-50 pounds. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.

Excellent oral communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, patrons and guests

Excellent customer interaction skills with co-workers, supervisors, patrons and guests

Ability to work outside conventional work hours (e.g. weekends, late nights and some holidays)

Strong organizational skills
Required Education
Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.
