American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse House Supervisor for a night shift assignment requiring active NY RN licensure and prior House Supervisor or RN Manager experience.

25-bed inpatient hospital unit serving detox, swing bed, and medical patients
-
Average daily census of 19 patients
-
Hospital also includes day surgery services and a 7-bed ER
-
Patient population includes CHF, pneumonia, chest pain rule-outs, syncope, diverticulitis, cellulitis, COPD, and ETOH/opiate withdrawal cases
-
Majority of census consists of subacute patients requiring rehab for debility, wound care, or long-term IV antibiotics
-
RN staffing ratio is 1:6 on days and 1:7 on nights, with LPN support for med pass or ALC/swing bed assignments
-
Bariatric equipment available on a rental basis as needed
-
Respiratory Therapy services available Monday-Friday 7am-3pm only

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45pm-7:15am

Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required

Floating required

Scrubs required; no formal dress code

Active NY RN license required in hand

Minimum 1 year of House Supervisor or RN Manager experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS

EPIC EMR experience required
-
Skills should include inpatient acute care, emergency care, code management, crisis intervention, rapid response, bed management, and discharge AMA processes
-
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including DPH, TJC, and OSHA preferred
-
Responsibilities include supervising nursing care delivered across all hospital units
-
Duties include facility/bed diversion, new admissions, post-surgical and post-procedure oversight, and transfers to higher levels of care
-
Involves monitoring and reporting sentinel events and ensuring infection control and isolation procedures are followed
-
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered

Previous employees may only return after a 6-month system-wide waiting period

Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
