Job Summary
MUST HAVE ACTIVE MENTAL HEALTH LICENSURE IN THE STATE OF NEVADA- MENTAL HEALTH INTERNS ARE WELCOME TO APPLY.
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Clinician to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality substance use and mental health treatment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the ASAM criteria and experience in both substance use and mental health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments using the ASAM criteria to determine appropriate level-of-care placements, including 3.7, 2.3, 3.1, 2.5, 2.1, and Level 1 services.
- Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s needs. Group sessions may vary from 1 hour per week to 20 hours per week and take place in settings such as residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, client-centered care and coordinate treatment plans effectively.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Work with the Nevada court system to coordinate care, providing necessary progress reports and updates on client status.
- Collect, analyze, and utilize data related to client progress and treatment outcomes to improve service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in the field of substance use treatment and behavioral health to ensure best practices are implemented.
Qualifications and Experience
- Active clinical license in the state of Nevada is required.
- Previous experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders is preferred.
- Familiarity with SAPTA regulations and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities, including both psychotherapy and behavioral therapy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining personal accountability and professionalism.
