General Function:
The Manager of IT Infrastructure oversees the IT Network and Server Administration and is responsible for the business's technical operations, including hardware and software systems. This position provides leadership and drives the technical side of operations, including identifying the organization’s IT system needs, adding updates and enhancements to current computer systems, and ensuring employees’ technical issues are resolved efficiently. Keeps all technical systems fully operational and ensures the organization maintains strict security and compliance measures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Network Administration
- Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, development, support, and maintenance of the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. Assist with the development of a 3–5-year strategic plan for IT Infrastructure.
- Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the business.
- Partner with departments to understand their IT needs while balancing competing priorities against available organizational resources.
- Inspect/manage the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency, including evaluating ongoing maintenance of legacy software.
- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and present solutions.
- Build relationships with vendors to create cost-efficient contracts as required.
- Regularly scan and evaluate the organization’s current systems to find any risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate current Information Security program; establish, implement, and document new policies and procedures for the changing risk environment while driving compliance.
- Develop the organization’s Master Data Governance program to maintain and improve IT architecture in performance of ongoing data transformation efforts.
- Implement company-wide technology updates and hold sessions to teach employees new features.
- Oversee and review the efficiency and performance of help desk services provided by the MSP.
General Leadership
- Develops, estimates, and reviews project timelines, work plans, design documents, and deadlines for the IT department.
- Owns and leads implementations from planning to deployment, including providing post-live support.
- Manage the relationship with the MSP partner and ensure that SLAs are achieved.
- Assist with development of capital budgets and updating equipment to ensure consistent, reliable IT operation.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 7+ years of IT experience
- Hands-on experience with:
- - Server environments (Windows/Linux)
- - Networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs)
- - Cloud platforms (Azure)
- - Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- - Microsoft 365 administration and governance
- - Azure platform services and networking
- - SharePoint Administration
- - Identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD/Hybrid AD)
- - Overseeing MSP services and Helpdesk performance
- Proven experience in working with all levels of business effectively, ability to sustain the current environments and looking strategically to the future is a key requirement of the position.
Preferred:
- Microsoft certifications such as:
- - Azure Solutions Architect / Administrator
- - Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator
- Experience with:
- - FortiGate firewalls, HP Aruba switches, Hyper-V Clusters, SANs
- - Veeam Backup and Replication
- - Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- - Endpoint management (Intune, Autopilot, Windows Defender)
- - Monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel)
- - Managing service levels of MSPs
