Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures comply with food safety regulations and sanitizing protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and equipment, adhering to food safety standards
- Support the team in food production tasks such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food assembly for catering or dine-in service
- Follow recipe adherence closely to ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles, especially with pizza or restaurant experience preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in high-volume environments
- Familiarity with dietary aide practices, menu planning, and dietary department standards is a plus
- Excellent food handling skills with an eye for detail in food presentation and quality control
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
