Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee commercial mechanical and HVAC construction projects from initiation through completion
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
- Collaborate closely with field teams, foremen, subcontractors, and clients to support successful project execution
- Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation
- Support and mentor junior engineers and project staff
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle
- Apply innovative construction methods and process improvement strategies to optimize efficiency
- Ensure projects remain aligned with financial goals, quality standards, and safety expectations
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes
- Assist with planning, procurement, and coordination of mechanical systems and construction activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 7+ years of experience managing commercial mechanical or HVAC construction projects
- Prior experience working for an MEP or mechanical contracting firm
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, piping, building systems, and construction processes
- Experience managing project financials, forecasting, and budgeting
- Ability to lead teams and work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Experience with Design-Build or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) projects is preferred
- Familiarity with Lean Construction principles is a plus
- Experience with data center, industrial, healthcare, or federal construction projects is preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and proactively
