We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to oversee our accounts payable operations and ensure the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments.
This is a remote position requiring the ability to work effectively through a company-provided RDP (Remote Desktop) environment and securely access company systems and financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong accounts payable and accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
In this role, you will oversee the full accounts payable cycle, support month-end closing, manage vendor reconciliations, monitor outstanding payables, and work closely with finance, procurement, and other departments to maintain efficient financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, verification, coding, approval, and payment processing.
- Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, proper authorization, and appropriate account coding.
- Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable balances and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure outstanding invoices are properly tracked and processed.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure transactions are properly reflected in the general ledger.
- Work with finance, procurement, vendors, and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable workflows, reduce errors, and increase processing efficiency.
- Assist with internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements related to accounts payable.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of company financial information.
- Use Excel and accounting software to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports.
- Work efficiently within the company's secure RDP/remote desktop environment and follow all remote-access and data-security procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to accounts payable staff and assist with maintaining consistent procedures and standards.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounting, or finance, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, vendor management, reconciliations, debits and credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with accounting or financial systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience handling high-volume invoice processing and financial transactions with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment.
- Comfortable working through a company-provided RDP/remote desktop connection and securely accessing company systems.
- Reliable computer and internet connection suitable for remote work.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and company information.

Pay: $23.22 - $31.40 per hour
