YOU MUST BE EXPRIENCED FOR THIS POSITION. WE DO NOT TRAIN.
Are you an enthusiastic, motivated partner dance instructor looking for a great teaching environment?
We are a small, boutique-style studio seeking a part-time instructor who brings both skill and genuine care to their work.
Our students are a joy to work with—primarily social dancers, beginners exploring partner dance for the first time, and a consistent flow of wedding couples preparing for their first dance together.
If you enjoy teaching in a relaxed and focused atmosphere—where you have control over the music, setting, and lesson flow—this may be an excellent fit for you.
About you:
We’re looking for someone with experience teaching wedding couples, and who is comfortable leading, following, and putting together simple choreography. A friendly and approachable teaching style paired with professionalism is essential.
This is currently a part-time role, with the opportunity to expand over time. Building your schedule will happen gradually, so a patient, long-term perspective is important.
While your teaching days will remain consistent, we offer some flexibility in scheduling. Teaching availability may include afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Styles you’ll teach:
Ballroom, Latin, Swing, general social dancing, and personalized wedding choreography.
Instruction is primarily private (one-on-one or small groups), with occasional off-site events and opportunities to participate in video content creation.
Additional details:
In accordance with California AB5 law, this role is classified as a W-2 employee position (not an independent contractor). Workers’ compensation coverage is provided, and we contribute toward payroll taxes.
Pay is structured per lesson, ranging from $27 to $33 for each 45-minute private session. Group class rates range from $40 to $150 per hour depending on class size and format and location.
This is not a high-volume, noisy dance environment. Instead, we offer a calm, intimate space designed to support both student learning and instructor success.
This is not an environment where you will receive dance training. You must already have the skills necessary for the job.
Availability required: Tuesday and Friday evenings from 4 PM to 10 PM, Saturday afternoons and anytime Sunday. (morning and afternoon shifts are also available)
If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you.
