Security Bouncer / Door Staff (Part-Time)
Location: Chandler, AZ ZIP 85226
Position Type: Part-Time (Fridays & Saturdays)
Hours: 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM (10 hours/week)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, vigilant, and composed Security Bouncer to join our night team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense in maintaining a safe, controlled, and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests and staff. You must possess an active Arizona Guard Card, maintain strong physical fitness, and excel at managing high-stress situations with calm, firm authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control & ID Verification: Check IDs at the door to strictly enforce age restrictions, screen guests, and manage venue capacity.
- Crowd Monitoring: Maintain active visual surveillance across the venue to spot potential safety hazards, altercations, or policy violations early.
- De-escalation & Conflict Management: Verbally diffuse aggressive or volatile situations before they escalate into physical altercations.
- Physical Ejection & Intervention: Professionally and safely escort non-compliant, intoxicated, or unruly individuals off the premises when necessary.
- Incident Communication: Coordinate with management, team members, and local law enforcement (if necessary) during major incidents.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Age: Must be 21 years of age or older (required for working in an environment where alcohol is served).
- Certification: Active Arizona Unarmed Guard Card required.
- Physical Fitness: High physical readiness; ability to stand for long periods, move quickly, and handle physical confrontations safely if required.
- Stress Tolerance: Proven ability to stay calm, focused, and professional under high pressure, verbal abuse, or dynamic emergency situations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal de-escalation skills.
- Availability: Must be strictly available to work Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
- Background Check: Must pass a standard background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of security, bouncer, or door management experience in nightlife or event venues.
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification.
