Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) working the 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. shift! Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and medical documentation standards.
- Manage IV infusions, catheterizations, tube feedings, and ventilator support to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety.
- Conduct medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to maintain precise and up-to-date patient records.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, and those requiring memory or behavioral health support.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations like laboratory specimen collection/processing, sonography, or medical imaging procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or hospice care services.
Requirements
- Valid LVN or RN license in good standing with the state licensing board.
- Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or Level I trauma center experience; hospital medicine background is highly valued.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding is a plus.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; home & community care experience is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to acute pain management and infectious disease care.
- Ability to perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile techniques such as suturing and spinal taps; basic life support (BLS) certification required.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with attention to detail in vital signs monitoring and intake procedures; capable of working independently while maintaining team collaboration. Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
