The Lions Den is the newest restaurant in the area, formerly know as "Tavern on the Rail" The Lions Den aims to incorparate all the great things the former restaurant had to offer and improve upon them. We are a restaurant "Where Timeless Charm and Elegant Cuisine Converge". This is what we stand for in our establishment, and our service and food must reflect this.
We are looking to create a friendly environment where all staff and guests can enjoy themselves while enjoying a meal, and working together. Our aim to to bring on a qualified individual to work part/full time.
Our hours of operation are Wednesday-Sunday 4pm-9pm.
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fine dining and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, menu planning, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Certification in food handling or culinary arts is a plus but not required.
