Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate organist/pianist/choir director to join our team. As the musician, you will have the opportunity to showcase your musical skills and contribute to creating a captivating and enjoyable experience for our audience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to educate and inspire others through the power of music.
Responsibilities:
- choose and present music for all church services at this facility
- Collaborate with other musicians and artists of your choice to create harmonious performances
- Provide musical accompaniment for singers, choirs, or other instrumentalists
- Communicate effectively with clergy, Worship Committee and Wardens to ensure smooth coordination of performances
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during all performances
- Continuously develop your musical skills through practice and exploration of new repertoire
Skills:
- Proficient in playing the 1976 Noack Opus organ and Baldwin concert grand piano with exceptional technical skills and musicality
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clergy, Worship Committee and wardens
- Be familiar with traditional Episcopal and Anglican hymnity and chanting, and contemporary music
- Ability to adapt to different musical styles and genres
