The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in driving revenue growth while delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position focuses on quoting, order management, and identifying opportunities to support and grow customer accounts. Inside Sales partners closely with Customer Service and our parent organization’s sales hubs to ensure customers receive the right materials, solutions, and service.
- Prepare and respond to inbound quote requests via phone, chat, and email
- Enter and manage orders using internal systems with a high degree of accuracy
- Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and availability
- Identify larger-volume or strategic opportunities and successfully transition them to appropriate sales hubs
- Build rapport with customers and support repeat business
- Resolve order issues, concerns, and special requests
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction

- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously
- Confident handling objections and complex customer needs
- Self-directed with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- 2–5 years of inside sales or sales-focused customer service experience
- Proven success in a high-volume or transactional sales environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience in metals, manufacturing, or distribution industries is a plus
- Familiarity with Lean practices or ISO standards is helpful
