Compensation:
Competitive compensation package including hourly rate + mileage + bonuses ($20–$22/hr base range).
This is a full-time, Tuesday–Friday position (8AM–5PM) with a 1-hour lunch.

Platinum Dental is seeking an experienced Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant to serve as a specialty assistant within our periodontal program. This role is essential to supporting high-quality periodontal care across multiple offices.
You will play a key part in maintaining consistency, training other dental assistants, and ensuring each location is fully prepared for periodontal procedures.

Welcome and prepare patients for periodontal treatments

Assist the periodontist with 4-handed dentistry, surgical setups, and perio procedures

Select, set up, and sterilize instruments and equipment

Manage and order supplies for the traveling perio kit

Communicate supply needs to each office

Complete lab tasks as instructed

Provide post-operative instructions

Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked operatories

Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
Qualifications:

Experience Required: Proven experience as a periodontal or specialty dental assistant—this role requires a confident, lead-level assistant

Leadership Skills: Ability to train other DAs and oversee perio setup consistency

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of periodontal instruments, surgical procedures, and sterilization protocols

Organization: Excellent attention to detail; able to manage inventory across multiple locations

Communication: Strong communication skills with patients, teams, and office leadership

Regulatory Understanding: Knowledge of health & safety regulations
